About Me

John Hall feels like the older he gets, the more he should be learning, and the bigger his adventures should be. People who feel that one should get a job and settle into a predictable routine are sometimes a bit uncomfortable around John. He’s playful, passionate, intense, expressive, mostly smiles and has no resume. He is or has been an educator, entrepreneur and writer. A great dad, who generally gets more inspiration from kids than from adults. He doesn’t agree with evolution or abortion, but is quite sure that Narnia exists, and that Hobbits once were.   He has so many favorite books that it would be senseless to try to list them all. And he does cry whenever he watches “It’s A Wonderful Life”.

  1. John, I would agree that you are neither predictable nor routine, and sometimes I didn’t know what to do with that! However, I found/find it refreshing and challenging to take your sense of wonder with the world around us and apply some of those lessons to my own life and the way I approach all that I do. Thanks for your reflections-your way with words is a gift!

  2. Thank you, Libby – for your compliments and for being open to change – a very Godly trait I’ve learned :)

  4. Hey there Mr. Hall. I am the bus driver who was taking your daughter back and forth to school over the summer. Thanks for giving me these two email addresses. I am really enjoying the little bit that I have read so far. Well a little about me. I have three older brothers. I am in the process of getting my teaching degree. I have roughly about two and half years left of school. I will be teaching at the elementary level. I do not want to take too much of your time, I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Well I guess I get back to reading more about the two websites you gave me. Have a nice summer. Againg thanks for these two websites.

  5. I have enjoyed reading your blog entries. I will be taking a group from my church to Guatemala on August 18th. Thank you for sharing this blog with the world. God is at work and we are blessed to be part of it.
